I find it fitting that the verse on this card “So hard to find the words” describes just what my brain was thinking…. It’s so hard to find a good introduction to this blog post! This blogging thing can be tricky.
Today’s post is part of the INKspired Sketch blog hop that I hold with my Stampin’ Up! Downline every second Sunday, I design a sketch that all the team use to design their card. Here is the sketch the INKspired Artist’s are working with this week, a good simple layout that has lots of room to get creative.
I did drop off one of the flags at the top, I played around with a few different options, glimmer paper, Kraft cardstock and even ribbon but they all looked wrong! I did add a button, maybe that could count for the missing flag 😉
I have used watercolour paper, first stamping the bird image then watercolored with Soft Sky and Lost Lagoon re-inkers, I watercoloured a scrap of watercolour paper that then was used for the banner.
The next blog is Barbara Williams, aka my Mum with a very colourful birthday card that she is very proud of.
Here are the items used, shop online Australia wide.
Beautifully delicate card, yes your button could be a flag……….lol As always your attention to detail is impeccable
Gorgeous! The little bit of watercolouring to showcase the bird and the little flag that compliments it is beautiful. Another masterpiece. Lou xo
