INKspired Sketch Blog Hop 15 {Golden Geometrical}

April 12, 2015

By Teneale Williams | INKspired Sketch #INK015 | Geometrical Stamp Set from Stampin Up!

Lets start with saying Golden Geometrical ten times and not get all tongue tied! Or we could just talk about Gold embossed goodness using Geometrical stamp set?  I give you advance notice I have gone crazy with gold embossing on my card today but it works. I think hope.

The card design is based on the sketch below as its time for a INKspired Sketch challenge and blog hop.

INKspired Sketch 15 | Sunday 12th April Blog Hop | #INK015

I changed up the shape and used a triangle in place of the circles, featuring images from Geometrical stamp set. I have also used just a base of Whisper White cardstock, the sketch looks like it has 2 different designs on each side of the circle row and I added a layer behind of Rose Red cardstock. #RuleBreaker

The triangle images are stamped in VersaMark and clear embossed. Following this I lightly sprinkled gold embossing powder on a section of the image while it was still hot from the clear embossing,  tapped off the excess gold to then heat set.  You do need to be working fast between the clear to gold embossing, if it cooled then reheat the clear embossing with the heat tool.

By Teneale Williams |Image stamped in VersaMark then clear embossed followed by a light sprinkle of gold embossing powder, tap the excess gold off then heat set.

On the sides of the Rose Red cardstock I added a little gold embossing by sliding the edge on my VersaMark ink pad then applying a little gold embossing powder and set setting. With the greeting I stamped the image from Sumthin’ Sumthin’ Stamp Set in Jet Back StazOn that was “juicy” so I added a little gold embossing powder over the celebrate then heat set the image, I was not planning on adding the gold but I am happy I got a little carried away in the case.

The fun is not over, we still have more INKspired Artists for you to visit and see their cards using the sketch and with that said, you are off to see  Barbara Williams  who just happens to be my mum as well as member of my Stampin’ Up! Team.

    This is WAY cool, Teneale! Definitely not too much gold; I just love the subtle partially embossed gold ‘bits’. Great colour choices with the cardstock, too.

    Love the stitching detail. Wish I knew how to do this!
