It is time for the next INKspired blog hop, we have 6 stops on the creative tour. Like always I have created a sketch for the team to use as inspiration to create their cards. If you have arrived from Barbara’s (aka mum) blog you will have seen the apple does not fall far from the tree, we have used the same colours; Very Vanilla, Blushing Bride and Gold! We were chatting this morning and I laughed when she said the colours she used.
Above is the sketch we are following, for a first I have created something pretty close to the sketch. Normally I employ a little creative license with sketch, but I even added leaves! Upcoming in my classes I am teaching Faux Linen technique and this is one of the cards the ladies are going to make. It is a little shabby chic, I really that trend is over but it was the best description with the soft pink and glitz of the gold embossing. I am obsessed with the Music Sheet Background stamp, be prepared to see it used a lot.
This card also has used Faux Chipboard technique, Stack 3 or 4 die-cut layers on top of each other, I find it best to attach the returned (YAY) Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets to the back of the cardstock before die cutting, it makes it so much easier to attach; I must give credit to my friend Di Baldwin for that tip. Here, Soft Suede cardstock was used and I lightly tapped VersaMark over the leaves before heat embossing with gold powder, I say lightly as I still wanted the cardstock to show.
Moving to the inside, a smaller leaf from Flourish Thinlits, stitching along the tab in the corner and along the bottom a section of the feature design from the front of the card. Gold embossing has also carried through with a good embossed greeting and around the edge of the base is a dusting of embossing powder.
Well, thank you for stopping by and hope you enjoyed my creation. Next stop on the INKspired blog hop is the fabulous Nicole Anderson
