The time has just flown, today {Tuesday 31st March} marks the last day of Sale-a-bration, the greatest Stampin’ Up! promotion of the year. Before all the excitement is all over I had to share a card I made featuring the Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) it is one of those products that you need to see used to realise how amazing it is! With a white base with a glossy clear design, you can then add ink to make the design “pop”. As you can see in my card below, I have used the star design.
I just adore this card. I do not say that very often as like many create people I am my own hardest judge but this card looks amazing is real life with the exploding stars and what I have the most is that it is easy to make!
I first cut my base from Irresistibly Yours DSP and sponged Soft Sky ink starting from the center and moving out, I have not applied the ink all the way to the edges. Then I stamped the star burst from Kinda Eclectic in Soft Sky ink over the sponging. I cut happy from the Hello You Thinlits Dies in Lost Lagoon cardstock I used mini staples to attach it to the front of the card. I finished the greeting by stamping “birthday” in Jet Black StazOn, I used this ink as it was the only ink to cover over the gloss surface as normal die based ink will resist the surface.
The balloons are stamped in VersaMark and clear embossed, they come from the Balloon Bash stamp set, the strings are thin strips of Basic Grey cardstock, you can see I have then going through the “Y” and they add a little movement to the design. The glitter stars are punched from Silver Glimmer Paper using the Confetti Stars Punch.
