Global Design Project is the place to party this week, all the cool kids (or not so cool kids like me) are ready to PARTY hard and it is an open invite to pop over to the challenge site to join the fun. Let’s see lots of party related P A R T Y ideas.
I went the option of creating a card for a 40th Birthday party for a friend of mine, she is not all that into pretty or girlie things, I think that has to do with being a mum to 5 active sports playing preteen boys and the sole female in her household. I was CLOSE to buying her a card, yes… shocking I know but she loves to make fun of my crafty habits (in a totally loving way and I give as good as I get) but we were chatting and she commented that she was looking forward to her “special” card as it was a notable birthday. After that comment I had to create something with no pink and no flowers, I went straight to Marquee Messages stamp set, it was perfect.
Staying true to the theme of P A R T Y ! ! ! and knowing my friend I stamped “Party Like a Rock Star” all of my crazy and reckless partying in my 20’s was in the company of this friend. Sharon always said she was never having kids, she was married to her career. Fast forward 13 years now she loves being a mum driving her boys around to all their sporting events in her big mum van.
Awesome card Teneale ! Love how you’ve used the pearls as lightbulbs !
There is no better way to celebrate a special birthday than with a Teneale “special”. You rocked this challenge and Sharon is going to love it Miss T. You are a beautiful friend xox
Looks great Teneale, love the colour combo. I’m sure your friend will love it and Happy Birthday to her.
