Life is Beautiful Class

May 23, 2012

Yes, life is indeed beautiful for those who recognise it, as  Marilyn Monroe famously was quoted saying: “This life is what you make it. Not matter what, you’re going to mess up sometimes, it’s a universal truth. But the good part is you get to decide how you’re going to mess it up. Just because you fail once, doesn’t mean you’re gonna fail at everything. Keep trying, hold on, and always, always, always believe in yourself, because if you don’t, then who will? So keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life’s a beautiful thing and there’s so much to smile about.”  Inspiration can be taken from everything, even quotes that you may see on Pinterest! Ok that is also my way of justifying the amount of time I waste spend on Pinterest.

The card is very girlie, with ALL that Blushing Bride, the flowers, ribbon and vintage feel. Are you wondering how I created the boarder around the oval? I used the Doily Triple Layer punch on page 151 of the main AU Catalogue, I punched out 4 then cut them in half, they fit perfect around the large oval from the Sizzix Oval die if you place them like mine with three scallops showing and they are just touching. I think it looks great and I love when I find a new way to use tools I have sitting on my shelf.

This card is my class project for the week, I am showing a crafty emboss resist technique, we are making the above card and a little box with the same effect, inside the box is a couple of Cadbury Coco Chocolates….yummy!  This card and gift set looks amazing in “real life”.

Above is the chocolate box we are making as our second project this week in class.

If you are in the Sydney area I have one class left this week with spots still open:
