It feels strange posting a card with ice cream that makes me think of warm summer weather, when the weather in Sydney is far from warm but I could not resist the cuteness of Ice Cream Corner Suite Collection to use for this weeks The Spot sketch challenge.
In true Teneale style, I have taken a tiny amount of creative license with the sketch. I moved the strip of printed paper to the left side and adjusted the proportions. It is a fun sketch and one I will come back to later when inspiration is lacking.
I don’t often use most of the elements in a Suite Collection but this Ice Cream Corner range has cute greetings in the Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set like ‘you melt my heart’ I have a little niece who is getting this card for her birthday. She really does melt my heart, she has been wrapped around her little finger and I would not change it for a thing.
I really loved the colour and designs in the Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper. I Punched the ice cream for a sheet of the Designer Series Paper and on Pinterest I saw were someone (sorry, I have no idea who) placed the punched scoops of ice cream in the Painted Texture Embossing Folder, it really does make a huge difference.
Inside the card, I have stamped Happy Birthday that is part of the Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set in Soft Suede ink and ‘hope it is sweet’ on a scrap of Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper.
Tell me, do you embellish inside your cards?
