Mixed Border | Global Design Project 38

May 30, 2016

By Teneale Williams | Stampin'Up! New Catalogue 2016/2017 | Mixed Boarders Stamp SetLast week I spoke about my dislike of colour challenges and compared them to my childhood dislike of peas. I find myself again compared current emotions to ones of my childhood; it is TWO more nights of sleep until I can order from the new Stampin’ Up! Catalogue, I feel like a child waiting for Christmas as I count down sleeps and have my wish list all written out.

The stamp set I am using today is a NEW set from the upcoming catalogue, it is called ”. I received this set for free when I attended the Onstage training event in April. It works great with the sketch that I design for this round of Global Design Project sketch challenge.

I know, I am a total rule breaker! My card may not look like the sketch, but I took a little creative license, I started by doing three rows of the vine border, and it was going portrait… however I had issues stamping the three rows evenly. In my defence, it was midnight stamping. The sketch is a line with a greeting through it 🙂

Here is inside my card, I totally love the greeting in the ‘Mixed Borders’ stamp set. Inside I have stamped I Simply Adore You with brackets that match the border design from the front.   I have stamped the border and brackets using Mint Macaron then watercoloured the leaves using a Blender Pen. The flowers are vellum cut using the Botanical Builder Framelits

This is a gorgeous card Teneale. Very straight forward, but really catches the eye. Great job!

Love your card – Mint Macaron is one of my favourite colours at the moment – what was the stamp set you used though?
