Party Penguin

October 24, 2010

We are having the yuckiest weather today in Sydney its cold and wet…. prefect stamping weather I say! to help get my creative mojo going I popped over to one of my favourite sketch challenge sites…. i{heart}2stamp to check out the new sketch for this week…. I must say I {heart} this sketch!

Here is my Party Penguin….how CUTE is this little guy I have seen lots of creative ideas using the Stampin’ Up! Owl punch all over the web and I wanted to have a play myself, I have used quite a few punches on this card. The Owl Punch to create the Penguin I trimmed of the “ears”, the balloons are ¾” circles, and star punch was used on the party hat, the little triangle of the balloons and also for the noise.

As you know I LOVE doing the inside of my card and I am super happy with this one, because I stamped Happy Birthday on the front I added a little banner inside saying to you…..when you say it all together….. happy birthday to you……. the star punch was also using to make the banner.

Teneale, I LOVE it! I’ve never seen something of yours that I didn’t like, and this is certainly no exception. He’s cute, cute – and I love your banner too. Thanks for sharing the tip with using the star punch; I just did one with the pennant stamp from Party This Way – it was quite big. I love your bow, too – you do perfect ribbon treatment. Well done.

Hi Teneale… I had a chuckle at you asking for comment love, thinking surely you wouldn’t be lacking in that with your gorgeous creations…. and then realised that I often see your lovely cards but because I see them in a reader, I rarely actually take the opportunity to let you know how lovely they are…. I’m such a naughty lurker!! I totally LOVE your cutie penguin… and using the star punch to make your banner – awesomely clever!

Teneale-I have never seen another stamper with the talent and ability you have to combine dsp in such flattering combinations. You make the look fresher and show them in a new light. Even paper I was not attracted to in the slightest bit comes out looking fabulous when you lay your heart and hands on it. Stampin’ UP! should beg you to design for them. You are truly an inspiration and I am in awe of you. Thank you for sharing..I consider it a gift to look at your artwork.
