Plain Frame

November 15, 2009

winter-post-plain-frame-line.jpg

Another week has just escaped me and now the weekend is over, I had a massive week and needed to do some major catch up this weekend which I am happy to say has worked and I am back on track. One of the tasks on my to do list this weekend was to take photos of all my Christmas cards I have been making, But when I look at them all I realised they are all so plain, I have not used more then 3 tones on each card, I can’t even say colours because two of the tones are Whisper White or Very Vanilla with Choc Chip or Black. So I have called this blog entry “plain” frame because I am so boring with my colour combos.

Having said that about this card being plain, I do love how simple and elegant it is. This card is also one of my Stamp-A-Stack cards for this week, So if you need to make a few more Christmas Cards and happy to make “plain” cards {lol} I still have spots in the following classes:

Teneale I would not call any of your work plain, You are very funny but very hard on yourself. I would love to come to your class…. Want to fly to the US and I will get a group together.

    Betty.

    Hi Teneale
Oh, I really like it & don’t think it’s plain at all, just simply elegant. Love how you combined the frame & deer. Can’t wait to see the stepped up version too though.
    Warm wishes, Di
PS: hope to see you at regionals next Saturday with swaps….although I haven’t started any of mine yet (eek!)

Its not plain, it is elegant. I tend to go a bit overboard. I love empty space on other people’s cards & the struggle to have some on mine. I cheat & CASE nearly all my cards, not very creative, unlike yourself!!

I think it is absololutely gorgeous! I have always passed over that frame stamp in the catalogue but you have made it look SPECTACULAR ( and now I want it too- Oh No !!! LOL) Your “stepped up” cards look lovely but flat cards are better for posting at Christmas .

In your case there is no such thing as a plain card, Teneale, the right words are Simple and Elegant. This card is gorgeous, so I can’t wait to see the stepped up version!
