“Plane” and Simple it has been a long time since I blogged regularly, I do have good news! The One Stamp At A Time blog hop is returning to monthly blog hops, on the second Thursday of each month.
To kick off we have been given the challenge of using a sketch that is featured in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue.
I used the Adventurous Sky stamp set (see bundle here), I quite like the vintage-inspired aeronautical stamp set and there is matching printed paper (see here) that comes in the suite and I will feature on cards later in August.
I sponged the top section first in Balmy Blue, followed by the large plane image from the Adventurous Sky stamp set and over the top in Balmy Blue ink the script image from Notes of Nature which is retired but if you are using this card as inspiration just have a look in your stash for something similar.
Paint splatter is my favourite thing to just finish off a card, and I have used a little black here. Talking about favourites, I have used my Perennial Postage Dies for the backing later, I can not tell you how often I use this dies!
Inside the card, I didn’t get a great shot of the inside and missed showcasing the greeting, which I just love ‘You’re the best, Plane & Simple’.
A sweet tag to match using the same elements as the front of the card.
