Normally when we come to the end of the month, I am surprised how quickly the month went. This month, I don’t feel like that. April 2020 has been long. I am kind of excited and equally apprehensive for May, I live in New South Wales (Australia) and my state is starting to lift some of the lockdown rules. I know normal life is still along way off. How are you coping? Let me know in the comment section, what are you doing to keep yourself busy.
I made this card for my friend Janneke’s birthday and she is one of the most talented scrapbookers I have seen so I put extra pressure on myself with her card. I used the Peaceful Poppies Elements, I have used one of the sheets watercolour paper die cuts with clear UV prints for watercolouring for the flowers which I painted with Pool Party Ink Refill.
The vellum leaves are also from the Peaceful Poppies Elements and so is the black banner behind the main panel.
I feel like I N E E D to bring to your attention the stamp set I used for the greeting! I can not tell you how long I wanted Stampin’ Up! to release a sticker label style greeting and gee did they deliver with Label Me Bold Cling Stamp Set BUT it is retiring (see the items retiring HERE). I am keeping mine forever.
On the main panel, first I embossed the Whisper White Card Stock with the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder and then used the Painted Labels Dies to cut the label. I love this die as it cuts and embosses, it looks so good.
Once the card front was assembled I splatted a little watered down Pool Party Ink Refill.
Here are the items used. Click on the item to be taken to my online store
This card is stunning! I didn’t realize there were pool party papers in the DSP pack! So happy to have a use for the elements pack. I subscribed to your blog because you are so talented. Can’t wait to see your future creations!
