Well has only been 2 months and 6 days since my last post {gasp} I guess I should wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! This has been one of my longest breaks blogging, I have received a number of emails from readers of my blog checking on me, which is really ever so sweet {thank you}. I have been stamping and everything has been carrying on as per normal just not blogging. I have spend hours writing and re-writing this post to explain my blogging hiatus but I have decided to not load you with the boring information. I DO have good news that seeing that I have not blogged in 2 months and 6, I have a back log of cards to share. I am going to try…. I will highlight the “try” to share my cards more often.
We are moving to the the topic at hand…. Yes! The card I have made, this card is for CASE Study 127 this month we have Teri Anderson as our muse for February, I am sure you realise this but she is a BIG DEAL in the cardmaking world and it is amazing that she has given her time to play along with us at CASE Study.
To the left you with see her sample to inspire us this week, you still have some time to play along check out all the design team cards and players cards HERE . I was inspired but the repeat of love and the four elements clustered together, I have used that on my card with the L.O.V.E in separate squares but closely clustered together. The layout even played a part with the printed paper at the top and bottom, I have added a ribbon to my card because I need to keep it to my style.
I have used Fan Fair printed paper from Stampin’ Up! {Hello} Like I would be using anything else! I am on to my 3 packet of this paper! I think it is my favourite after Newsprint for some time. The ribbon on the front is the Natural 7/8″ Cotton Ribbon which is sold as a carry over from the holiday catalogue and I have dyed it Midnight Muse, after I attached the bow to the card it looked like the wrong “Blue” to match the printed paper and yes, it was wrong it should be Island Indigo but I was not dying more ribbon my hands were blue already. {Note to self buy rubber gloves in the next grocery shop} See below! I just get in the “creative moment” and get carried away sometimes!
Here is the inside of the card which I really like with the layering. You mean the world 2 me is from Word Play and the globe image at the bottom is from the Fan Fair DSP also.
Drop me a line, love to hear from you!
I love your cards — especially the “LOVE” one — fantastic colors and design.
Your card is beautiful Teneale, I love the muted tones and the way you layer and add the extra little stamping details. You have such an eye and talent for making beautiful things. Great to see you in the blogging world again as I love to see what you create and to get inspiration from you.
