Setting Sail

October 3, 2009

set-sail-60th-line.jpg

Its SO hard making a card that is out of your comfort zone and this card is so far out its just not funny, I have not decided if I like it yet but I am giving it away tonight so I better get liking it. I needed to make a 60th Birthday card for a Male, I struggled to decide on a stamp set to use so I knew I was in trouble from the start, “normally” when I sit down to make a card I know exactly what I have in mind…. Not this time… You should SEE my desk OMG I have pulled out so much stuff . For the main image I stamped the ship onto White Card and coloured with Prismcolor pencils and blended with Gamsol, You can’t see very well in this photo put I have then gone over the top with Clear embossing powder multiple times so have a thick layer and popped it in the freezer, pulled it out after about 15 minutes and cracked the embossing powder giving it the Cracked glass look.

Here is the inside of the card, I love making the inside of my cards as pretty as the outside. Here I have printed my text onto Pattern Paper, I added a boarder of striped paper that I burnt the edge of for that “Old World look” and because this is a 60th Birthday card I added a die cut “60” from Scrapware. I am happier with the inside then the outside.
