I am always down for a challenge, what I like it they make me think a little deeper about what I am creating. Today I am joining my friend at One Stamp At A time for our monthly blog hop to the theme of besties.
This is what made me think that little more. The best friend to stamps is ink. My card needed to WOW using just stamps and ink, not printed paper, ribbon or emblishements.
The Daisy Garden Stamp is the star of the show, watercoloured with re-inker but you can squeeze a closed ink pad to get juice to watercolour with. I add a little water to get a nice watercolour medium. Starting with a halo of Soft Suede with Old Olive on the leaves and Merry Merlot on the petals.
Texture over the top by stamping Drybrush in Versamark and pops of script from Ranunculus Romance in Crumb Cake.
Layers of splatter in Soft Suede ink, Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends and Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker.
Inside the card. Same design as the front but the Daisys are just lower.
Now, the bestie theme keeps going. The best friend of cards are gifts!
I have made a double-sided tag, I love this greeting from Shaded Summer.
My bestie and I share a love of chocolate-coated pretzels. They really are the best combination and I spotted these in Coles.
