The halfway point has arrived of this 12 weeks of Christmas series, that means we are 6 weeks away from Christmas and that is something I am not prepared for! Tonight was the first time mum, my sister and I started talked Christmas celebration plans, which is normally done in August. On a positive note, I am tracking ok for cards to post out.
This week Barbara (my amazing mum) selected Snowflake Sentiments and Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits Dies for us to showcase in the 6th round of 12 weeks of Christmas. I am not totally sure about this card, it has a little bit of a country feel over festive; being unsure if I should make something else, I asked my sister who is a tough judge said “yeah, it’s ok. You’re made worse. Maybe add some Yellow” With that almost positive feedback I did look at adding a little gold banner behind the chalkboard greeting but it looked out of place. I know just the friend who will love this card, come Christmas.
I have created a chalkboard effect on the oval by heat embossing with White Emboss Powder, followed by sponging White Craft Ink.
Hop over to see what mum has created.

This is gorgeous! I love the country feel! I refused to buy these dies because I thought I would go insane trying to get all the little pieces out, even with the tool, but I have to admit that it creates a beautiful edge! Very pretty….I love it!
