Things are really starting to get festive around here, today I am sharing a fun Christmas card. I have used the sketch for this rounds INKspired blog hop and I did need to take a little creative liberty with the sketch to make it work, I mean who designs these sketches sometimes, some of them are so tricky. Oh, wait! Me, I design them!
So this sketch needed a little straightening up, I was not coping with the layers on different angles. The scallop became a ruffle and was moved under the Lemon Lime Twist layer. The stamp set I have used is called So Santa and I just adore this non-traditional Santa, which I have watercoloured on White Shimmer cardstock.
I added a greeting to the front using my favourite embellishment at the moment and I am not joking when I say the Festive Farmhouse Elements are a must have! They really make this card and if you remember I used them in the last INKspired blog hop.
This greeting gives me life “Ho! Ho! Ho! Who needs snow?!” I mean how suitable for an Australian Christmas card, we are in the middle of Summer in December. This little Santa is not holding a plate of ‘cookies’ he just cooked a plate of sausages or maybe I should be really Aussie and say a plate of snags.
It is now time to leave me and see what Kozue has created using the sketch
