You could say scrapbooking was my gateway drug to papercraft. I loved the look of it and I will admit I never crafted many pages but, I did (who am I kidding still do) buy a lot of papers and albums telling myself I needed to build up my collection to make it easier to get creating. I just never got in the groove of scrapbooking and it was totally pushed to the side after I found stamping and cardmaking.
This week the challenge at The Spot is scrapbooking related. I have to tell you the struggle was real!
Last year I tried my hand at scrapbooking for an INKspired blog hop and I remember struggling then also. That challenge started my scrapbooking my trip to Orlando from November 2018 for OnStage and DisneyWorld.
I skipped half the trip and went into Disneyworld, I have the plan of doing a mix of scrapbook pages and pocket style memory keeping. The pages will be some of the bigger days or more special events.
I have the best travel buddy my amazing Mum/Stamping Barb I love that I share Stampin’ Up! with her and that she is so willing to take part in all my crazy suggestions.
I love black and white photography and often use that in my scrapbooking but with all colours of Disneyworld, I simply had to showcase that in my album. I have blended the two by putting the black and white photos on a photo booth style strip.
I typed up my journaling on my computer and printed it on Purple Posy cardstock.
The smallest amount of stamping like one image was added to the layout, I should get bonus points because it is t least heat embossed. A scallop poking out from behind the Playing With Patterns papers.
I have used all Stampin’ Up! projects and normally everything is current product that you can order by clicking below. Some of the embellishments are retired like the ticket and felt stars, they are bits that I have collected over the years and set aside for this album.
