Sweet Motifs.

July 24, 2008

I am still adding some of my “old” cards to my “new” blog, So if you have seen this card before sorry I will have a new card tomorrow. I just thought I was share a bit of background on this card, which can you believe I almost put in the recycling bin before I added the flowers and pearls, I thought it was too dark and lacked detail, So I was about to throw it in the bin and then I thought to myself, I always say to people in my classes or workshops “there are no mistakes just creative opportunities” ….WHAT was I doing giving up so easy, After about 40 minutes just sitting looking at the card, I decided to stamp the flowers on Very Vanilla, Cut them out and put pearls in the centre, Once I did that the card really came together and now I am so happy I did not throw it out.

Beautiful! Your philiosophy of “there are no mistakes just creative opportunities” is very similar to mine…I say “there are no mistakes just opportunities for embellishment”. Great minds think alike. 🙂
