As much as I love cardmaking clearly! I am also known for my love of wrapping, if I am giving a gift it will match the card. Even sometimes I will just make a tag over a card for a gift. This rounds INKspired challenge was inspired by my love of tags, the team are showing tags and boxes.
Let’s start with the card. Stampin’ Up! changed up Sale-A-Bration a little this year and we have it twice a year now, we are in the second round for 2021. There is a few Sale-A-Bration products that I am really excited about and one is the Beautifully Penned 12″ Designer Series Paper, I love that it is black and white which gives the option to use Stampin’ Blends colour the white or even sponge ink on the paper. I used Mint Macaron and Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends, the paper is stunning in just black and white and I left the dots white.
To keep with the theme of the challenge, the card features a tag with such a lovely greeting from Best Chapter that I white Embossed on Basic Black creating a chalkboard look. I have used the new Tailor Made Tags Dies, which has two tag shapes and 4 sizes.
Inside the card, the greeting is Inspired Thoughts Cling Stamp Set. I stamped the greeting direct to the card base and a second time on Basic White cardstock that I pre-coloured Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends that I then chopped to highlight sections of the greeting. The colours are fussy cut from Beautifully Penned DSP.
The gift packaging, I made a quick box using Simply Scored to score an A4 sheet of Crumb Cake. I scored 2″ on both sides of the long side, going the opposite direction I carded 2″, 5.5″, 7.5″ and 11″ which then gave me a little tag to tape the box together.
I like boxes in cardstock because it is stronger but DSP looks pretty. I have coloured the background in Mint Macaron and wrapped it around the box like a belly band.
Using the Tailor Made Tags Dies again and Beautifully Penned, my favourite feature is the little strip of scallop at the bottom of the tag. One of the sheets of DSP is scalloped lines and I just fussy cut it out.
The greeting ‘dear friend’ is from Art In Bloom, like the inside spotlighting of the greeting I pre-coloured Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends on Basic White cardstock before stamping in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad.
