Sale-A-Bration ends very soon (like tomorrow), this was the first year we have had two rounds of the annual promotion. I liked having two different ranges of products to earn for free and it seems some of you did too. The most popular paper was Beautifully Penned which I used HERE and the Delicate Dahlias that I used HERE was the most popular stamp set.
Personally, I was excited about the Textures & Frames Photopolymer Stamp Set which I used as my thank you cards to my online customers this month and took that design to make a card for a male friend in different colours. I find masculine cards tricky and I don’t really buy a lot of ‘male’ theme stamps. What appealed to me about Textures & Frames I knew I could create patterns with the elements.
I have used the brushstroke image repeated in different colours across the carf. The colour combination plays a big part in making a card suitable for a man, I have used Misty Moonlight, Mint Macaron and Calypso Coral.
Using the Penguin Playmates DSP again from Sale-A-Bration, I have to say don’t let the cuteness put you off! The backside has great patterns, my go-to have been this Misty Moonlight strip.
Both the greets are from After The Storm, I always like ‘just because’ greetingss and even hello when sending a card for no reason..
Inside, I stamped the brushstroke image in Mint Macaron and the greeting in Misty Moonlight over the top. For the highlighted YOU + MIND, I stamped the brushstroke image in Calypso Coral and the greeting using Cajun Craze before trimming them out. I have added a little splatter with my light Mint Macaron Blend.
I totally love the inside more than the front of the card.
