Thank goodness it’s FRIDAY! That means 2 things the weekend is coming and it’s time for a new challenge for TGIF this week the theme is school days. With many kids returning to school it will be a popular theme, for me being that I live in Australia our school year is a little different my nieces are in their 3 term with the school year Jan-Dec. I started looking back through photos I have taken on my iPhone when I have been at school with them.
I am SO good at Project Life…. Well good at buying the card collections and not so good at the next step which is printing photo’s, don’t get me started on finishing pages. I have SO many half started pages that it was kind of embarrassing. I am happy to present my FIRST ever completed page.
This challenge made me finish a page and also print a stack of photos from my nieces at school that I plan to put into an album just about school. This one was from last year of my youngest niece doing her morning routine when she reached her class.
The Project Life collection I used is from the upcoming Holiday Catalogue, called Seasonal Snapshot 2015 it is a mix of themes school, Halloween, giving thanks and Christmas. I LOVE that a section of the designs are a kraft base with White printing.
I came to terms with the fact that I am much better with the 6×8 inch pages then the 12 inch pocket pages being that I am mainly cardmaker I am less overwhelmed. Also the smaller album fit better on my shelving.

Hi. I love BUYING the cards too!! I am using up my stash to send little reminders to kids and shopping lists!! I started with the smaller album but then found that all the photos needed to be portrait or printed smaller so now I thought I might try the larger size. How do you find that size?
I love that I am not alone. Good idea using up the cards like that.
It never clicked with me about the lack of larger portrait but I don’t mind printing the 2 smaller portrait on one print, well at the moment I guess. I like having the full 6×8 page pocket for a larger image/
Love this PL page and the kraft elements!
Ohhh WOW you need to do more PL, this layout is stunning!
