Friday has arrived! Bring on the weekend, I have planned a BIG weekend of stamping, stamping and more stamping! I am two weeks out from getting my new craftroom fitted #beyondexcited which I started planning back in December and had no idea it would take so long to decide on everything, I have repairs also happening after that storm {read HERE} from a few ago also happening on the roof in my studio so this weekend I need to get three weeks of projects created from classes, Artisan and other Design Team commitments plus a I have an open house next week to create for! Goodness my top to list is long but I love what I do so that helps.
Today I am sharing a card I made for Thank Goodness it’s Friday Challenge #tgif03 this week our challenge is to create a Grad card, which for me was odd! And a real challenge to the point I needed the girls in the TGIF team to explain it to me. School/Collage is ending for the year in North America and more celebrated then in Australia, none the less I have embraced the challenge to create a card to say congrats on school achievements…
Here is my creation for this week:
With very limited “graduation” theme stamps I have gotten creative with my supplies using the “Remember” Rotary stamp to add 2015 to the top corner, thinking class of 2015. I have used a very small section of a Project Life card from the upcoming “Moments Like These” range, which also inspired the colours used: Basic Black, Mint Macaron and Watermelon Wonder with pops of Silver.
I like what I came up with, “Way to Go! Amazing . Spectacular . Fantastic . You” Something I know I would use for other achievements and that is really what I had in mind when creating this card, in Australia the school year ends in December but I could totally give this card to one of my nieces for an award then achieved through the year or even one of my fabulous team members.
The stars are stamped from “Moments Like These” and the word bubble is from a new stamp coming called “I Think You’re Great” I have stamped the image in Watermelon Wonder ink onto Whisper White cardstock and hand cut it out. The bottom line is using part of an image from “Fabulous Four” stamped in White StazOn to Basic Black cardstock.
Items used that are currently available to order:
Items not listed are sneak peeks to the upcoming Stampin’ Up! 2015/2016 Catalogue coming June 2nd.
For local ladies to me in Western Sydney I am holding a open house, limited places:
awesome pop of color from the speech bubble…love the design!
What a fun card! I love how you left that big white space – something I find hard to do.
I think you totally rocked the challenge. So clean with lots of little interesting details. I’d definitely give it to my teen dd or a friend.
Hugs, D
Such a wonderful card! Love it!
