Time. One of the most important factors in life, something to cherish yet I find myself sharing a love hate relationship with it. No matter the planning I never have enough time to do the things I love, like cardmaking. The past few weeks have been crazy with life’s little moments popping up and needing more of my attention the planned for, however making me remember what’s important. As much as I love to spend hours creating my cards {yes I said hours #NoJudging #PerfectionistHere} I love the act of giving my cards more and I am constantly have a battle with myself about keeping the cards simple Vs. the standard I think people expect from me. At the end of the day I try to remind myself that really they are happy that I gave them a card even if I had to take a few short cuts as you will see below.
My evil friend “time” also has delayed me posting my card for TGIF this week, it is our June remix this week, where we look back on the past 3 weeks challenges and put 2 together to really challenge ourselves. See all the Design Team and Player’s gallery HERE.
I am using the sketch from 2 weeks ago and the together forever theme from last week.
The spoken about short cuts I have taken on this card. I have taken a Project Life cards from Love Story collection to create a wedding anniversary card. I really this range because it is all watercolour style in black and white {see the card selection HERE}. I have added a pop of colour with the two hearts in the top corner which comes from the sketch challenge.
The LOVE card was trimmed down a little as it was 6×4″ and too large for a card front, I added a flag which I chopped from another card in the Love Story collection, added 2 hearts in Real Red Glimmer paper with a little silver thread. Layered on metallic foil silver cardstock which looks fabulous in real life then attached this to a base of Basic Black cardstock. This card was designed and made SO super fast and a great back up plan when a wedding or anniversary card is needed.
Here are then items used:
Such a fabulously graphic card Teneale. I love it!
