Thank Goodness It’s Friday. I do love when Fridays roll around, not just for it brings the weekend but it also brings a new TGIF challenge I have sat out the past two weeks but I am BACK baby, I will admit I felt a little lost last week not playing in the past 2 challenges.
This week the challenge was HARD….. We need to select our favourite new products from the new Stampin’ Up! Catalogue or the newest items to hit your craft stash to create with.
Well it was hard from me {blush} as I suffer from a horrible disorder called “Procrastinating Perfectionist” who also owns way to many stamps and pretty accessories to only select a few favourites. I hope you all feel very sorry for me 🙂 And I have a feeling some of you reading this also suffer in the same way. Goodness I started pulling out so many stamp sets, I had Cottage Greetings, Endless Thanks, Every Blessing, Floral Wings, Remarkable You, Vintage Leaves, Watercolor Wings, Wild about Flowers and You’re Got This all out to use. A card featuring all those stamps would be a hot mess. It took me 3 days to JUST decide on the main stamp set, once I got to the point a card had to be made so I went for a really technical process to decide, that being the timeless game of eenie, meenie, miney, mo and the winner was Floral Wings.
Once I got past the stamp set issue, the card came together quite easily. I am in LOVE with the Lots of Labels Framelits so they had to be used, the newest embossing folder I added to my collection was the Stylish Stripes, I can’t believe I had not brought that folder earlier as I do like a diagonal strip design.
I know it’s not new but my favourite technique is sewing on my cards so I HAD to add a little stitching. You can also see in the above image I have used one of my favourite new greeting sets Cottage Greetings, stamped in Smokey Slate ink.
We would love to have you play along with us at TGIF this week because we all have new products that need to be used for the first time 🙂 and old favourites that need to be showcased. Head over to the TGIF challenge site to see the other design team creations and also the player gallery. Even if you don’t have a blog, use a social media account you have like Instagram or Pinterets and tag the project with #TGIF12.
Here are the items used in this project:
Oh my goodness that is gorgeous Teneale
I love the clean lines and girlyness (is that even a word?) of this card! I have been wanting to stitch on cards but haven’t figured out the best machine to buy (since I don’t have one). This makes me want to search and make a decision!

awesome card Tenille. Definatly one to try.
Teneale, I love your “non-standard” sizes of cards! This is such a beauty! Love the stitching on your butterfly too. My sewing machine is in storage and I miss stamping with it!
I always love your work Teneale. I’ve noticed a few of your cards are a different size than we normally see for cards. Would you share the dimensions of this card size? Thanks
Sorry, I see the end of the comment as wasking for the size. It is 10.5cm x 16.3 cm
