Vintage Leaves Clean and Simple Stamping

July 24, 2015

Let the weekend begin. Thank Goodness It’s FRIDAY!  You know Friday brings a new challenge from TGIF  this round is a great challenge, to create a clean and simple card with a maximum of ONE layer.

Being a girl who loves MORE, being limited to just one layer was a challenge but a challenge I enjoyed. I knew the stamp set I wanted to use, my amazing Mum and fellow stamper used Vintage Leaves a few weeks {see her card here} her card made me have a second look at that stamp set.

To add a extra layer to the card without the bulk, I have inked up a clear stamping block onto a Crumb Cake ink pad then stamped it to the Very Vanilla cardstock, over that I have stamped the leaf image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Note that with the leaf I have stamped it on a angle to counteract the left aligned greeting I was using, this Happy Birthday greeting is one of my favourite images, it is from Butterfly Basics.

I hope you have a wonderful week, I will be back Sunday with the INKspired blog hop. If you have time, please play along we us at TGIF if you don’t have a blog, you can use a social media account like Instagram or Pinterest to upload your card. Use the hashtag #TGIF13 or upload into the gallery on the TGIF page here.
