I love when Fridays roll around, not just because the weekend is coming but its is time for TGIF Challenge {see challenge site HERE} this week the challenge has been set as Watercolouring!
The card I have made is for a friend who has just gotten a new job. I have white embossed the greeting on to white shimmer cardstock, the watercoloured using Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry. I have also stamped stars in second generation ink {meaning I stamped off onto scrap paper} with the same ink that I had watercoloured in.
A close up to some of the details in the card, starting at the back and moving forward:
- The main layer was mounted on Silver Foil sheets for a fine board.
- The strip of printed paper at the top is from Everyday Chic DSP.
- I have hand stitched Silver Metallic Thread.
- The banner and star water watercoloured in Crushed Curry and Rose Red, cut with the banner and star {from Itty Bitty Accents} punches.
- Handheld Stapler was used to embellish the star and banner detail, with Silver Thread also used behind the star.

This is a fabulous card! The little stars stamped on the watercolor background really caught my eye on Pinterest and I had to stop by and tell you how much I love it! The hand-stitched metallic thread is a great touch.
This is stunning. Thank you for always being an inspiration. Lou xo
