I am at a stage in my life where I don’t find myself going to many weddings, most of my friends are married and if anything their kids will be the next round to start tying the knot. I, therefore, don’t make many wedding cards and skip straight over wedding or engagement stamp sets and look to other stamp sets that I could use for that purpose.
One of the Sale-a-bration stamp sets called Happy Birthday To You is a really elegant cake image that I saw instead potential to use for a beautiful wedding card. Later in the week, I have a birthday card to share using this FREE stamp set when you spend $90 in March 2020… Act fact as the month is also over.
I went very clean and elegant, deciding to go monochromatic using Whisper White and Sahara Sand. I just love the ribbon detail behind the greeting banner
If you read my blog post from yesterday when I showed a card featuring the Poppy Moments Dies, I used a whitewash technique of taking the ink pad direct to the cardstock. On today’s card, I used the same whitewash again but this time I mixed a little white craft re-inker with water and brushed the mixer onto the white embossed image.
Inside the card, the greeting I have used is from Special Celebrations Cling-Mount Stamp Set. Normally would I use a coloured cardstock inside the card, I go to white or vanilla however, it works in this case.
The above image was a little hard to read as it is white embossed so I added a close-up shot. After heat embossing the image I brushed a little of the white paint mixture and splatters.
