{You Inspire me} CASE Study 63

October 27, 2011

Stampin' Up! Sydney, Australia, Teneale Williams, Creative Elements, Case study, simple, make and take, card, easy

Waving a big hello to my fabulous blog readers and hope you are all feeling creative and doing well. I have just had the most wonderful week, I am feeling relaxed as I sit in my clean work area {big smile on my face}, I have spent the past few days cleaning, re-organised and de-cluttering my creative space, I love the feel once I give my area a good old clean out it’s like I find a little more “mojo”. I also seem to find products that I have brought and not used then forgot about {tell me I am not alone here}  I am excited to play with some of my newly found “toys” lol.

After my little chit chat it’s time to move on to CASE Study talk, can you believe that October is also over and this is the last week of Niki as our Muse, she has given us such wonderful inspiration and I thank you for that. This week she has given us a beautiful card which is to the left of the page {above in google reader}.

The question is what inspired me?

Card shape: I have always been a bit of a fan of the “odd” shaped card and the good old square card, I made mine a square {10.5cm x 10-5cm} just in case you are wondering…

Colours: I loved the tones of pink working so well together with a neutral like background so I have used tones of 2 pinks {Pretty in Pink and Regal Rose} , with Very Vanilla and  a little Crumb Cake detailing.

Image: I know my take is not a flower but I was liked with how Niki has the leafs coming out/exploding from behind the flower. I have used a small flower in the centre with the butterfly wings.

Scallop: My scallop edge at the bottom was inspired by the scallop around the flower.

Here is my take on Nink’s art work….. It is a little simpler them my normal cards but I LOVE it.
